If you love the Chick-fil-A breakfast bowls, you're going to want to try this easy at-home version.

It's crispy, cheesy, filling, and surprisingly simple to make. And the best part?

You only need four main ingredients, an air fryer and a frying pan. It's the kind of breakfast that gives you maximum flavor with minimum fuss—and very few dishes to wash.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag Just Bare lightly breaded chicken breast bites

  • 1 bag Ore-Ida seasoned frozen crispy crowns

  • 8 large eggs (2 eggs per serving)

  • 1–2 cups shredded Colby Jack cheese (adjust to your preference)

Optional Toppings

The bowls are delicious just as they are, but you can add whatever your family likes.

Try:

  • Salsa

  • Hot sauce

  • Avocado

  • Diced tomatoes

  • Green onions

  • Sour cream

  • Jalapeños

How to Make At-Home Chick-fil-A-Style Breakfast Bowls

1. Get the Chicken Crispy

Prepare the Just Bare lightly breaded chicken breast bites according to the package directions.

I prefer using the air fryer because it gives the chicken that crispy, golden exterior without adding extra oil.

Once the chicken is cooked, let it cool for a minute or two and then cut the larger pieces into bite-sized pieces.

2. Make the Crispy Potato Layer

While the chicken cooks, prepare the Ore-Ida seasoned shredded crispy crowns according to the package directions.

For the best bowls, you want the potato layer really crispy.

If you're using an air fryer, give the crowns plenty of room so they can crisp instead of steaming.

Once they're golden and crispy, remove them from the oven or air fryer.

3. Scramble the Eggs

Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk until the yolks and whites are completely combined.

Cook the eggs in a lightly greased skillet over medium-low heat.

Stir gently as they cook until the eggs are just set.

Don't overcook them. You want soft, fluffy eggs that will mix nicely with the crispy potatoes and chicken.

Season with a little salt and pepper if you'd like.

4. Build Your Bowls

Now comes the fun part.

Divide the crispy potato crowns between four bowls.

Top each bowl with the crispy chicken pieces.

Add a generous scoop of scrambled eggs.

Then sprinkle Colby Jack cheese over the top.

6. Store in containers for a grab and go breakfast

Heat for 45sec - 1 minute in the microwave.

The Perfect Breakfast Shortcut

This recipe is a great example of something I love about cooking at home:

You don't have to make everything from scratch to make a really good meal.

There are mornings when I have plenty of time to make breakfast from scratch, and there are mornings when I absolutely do not.

That's where good shortcuts come in.

Using frozen chicken and crispy potato crowns means most of the work is already done. Add fresh scrambled eggs and a little cheese, and you've got a breakfast that feels homemade without spending your entire morning in the kitchen.

And honestly, that's a win in my book.
